g2m3 Codec Download
Hey guys, if like me you've spent ages looking for the g2m3 codec download so you can watch videos of online meetings held with gotomeeting here's what I've found.
First of all, the g2m3 codec comes with GoToMeeting, you can download the GoToMeeting codec for free here.
The job I had though was to cut up the videos and convert them from the g2m3 codec into DivX for playing on hardware. I used Windows Media Encoder to do this, you can't just use ffmpeg as the g2m3 codec is tightly integrated with Windows Media Player. If you're on a Mac you'll need the Windows media components at http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=915D874D-D747-4180-A400-5F06B1B5E559&displaylang=en
There is also an app here that claims to make gotomeeting play in windows media player: http://championsriver.com/g2m_codec.exe
You might also want to try changing the extension from .wmv to .asf as this is a closer fit to the true format.
There's also a blog post detailing some of the tricks for using the g2m3 codec:

Yes, the app at http://championsriver.com/g2m_codec.exe makes the gotomeeting WMV files play correctly in Windows Media Player 11. It worked perfectly for me.
I used the http://championsriver.com/g2m_codec.exe version and it worked for me. The wmv file played with video displayed.
The other "for free here" link seems to be a later version. However, VBA32 Antivirus (Version 3.12.14.0, Update 2010.09.07) reports "suspected of Trojan.SB.ROSMD"
This seems strange to me because the link seems to be from an "official website".
Hmm yes I certainly would expect any download from gotomeeting.com. to be kosher. I've installed and it seems ok to me.
Thanks,
chris
This works GREAT!! Thank you for sharing I am now able to watch the videos I downloaded!
